Sample Submission for Suspected Anthrax Cases
Sample: incise superficial ear vein and use either umbilical tape or cotton swabs to soak up some of the blood.
Shipping: triple bag the sample and place in a styrofoam cooler on ice for overnight delivery.
Please alert the lab (KSVDL Client Care 866-512-5650) that an anthrax suspect case is being shipped to reduce the exposure of lab personnel to this zoonotic.
