KVDL EIA (Coggins) Test Changes

Beginning immediately, we are changing to an EIA ELISA test that results in fewer false positives.
That referring positives for retests requires a delay in result reporting, we have decided for the best interest of our clients, this test change is needed.
There will be some minor changes to EIA ELISA testing schedule:
- Testing will be completed at 1:30 p.m. each day.
- Samples arriving in the serology lab after 1:30 p.m. will be completed the next day.
- If the sample arrives in the serology lab after 1:30 p.m. but testing needs to be completed that day, a $45.00 STAT fee will be added to the test price.
- EIA ELISA test price is not affected.
- EIA AGID testing schedule and price is not affected.
